About the Artist

Barb VanCaeseele Kardon works with oils on canvas in her studio in Boston MA and Southampton NY to produce paintings inspired by how a canvas speaks to her as she works. No initial outlines of an idea are used in her work. As such her work is diverse in topic and styles. A favorite is to work with vintage canvas. Paintings that have been generally discarded due to any number of reasons; previous artist's talent, condition of painting/canvas' etc.; 'Canvas Duets' are designed to capture the history of another artist's touch through the patina and construction of another time unveiling Barbe's art show(s) and commissioned pieces.
